The fourth of July parade.

We went camping with the WHOLE Satterthwaite family to the Uintahs, it was so much fun!! Unfortunately I deleted ALL of my pictures off my memory card before I downloaded them :( so all I have are some random ones that Leah (yes, she is two) took, mostly of flowers and dirt.

We took a quick trip to BearLake for Raspberry days.

Ty and Nash went archery deer hunting with Dave - They ran around with BBguns, knives, saws and hatchets and LOVED every second of it!!!

Yes FOUR, count them, FOUR kids!!

I really can't believe it has been two months since I have updated our blog! :o) I am not going to promise to be better either, but I will try to get pics of our new baby up when she arrives in TWO weeks!!

We went camping with friends at "Uncle Bob's Ranch" in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

The boys have been going to Golf Camp

We went to St. George for a few days and took Ty and Nash to see Tarzan at the Tuacahn Theater.

We have also been cheering Dave on in Slow Pitch Softball and city league Basketball, Ty in AYSO soccer, running between swimming lessons and summer camps and TRYING to get ready for BABY #4!! We are shifting the kids bedrooms around and are almost finished, I will post pics soon!

I wanted to say "Happy Easter", but first i have to say " Happy St. Patrick's Day!!" I have been a huge blog slacker this month and haven't posted in FOREVER!

We have been keeping busy and have had lot's of fun with the recent holidays - maybe too much fun - the other night Nash called out to Dave from his bed and when Dave went in to see what he needed Nash said "Dad, I am pretty sure that Santa Clause, The Leprechauns, The Easter Bunny and Jesus are really good buddies." Uummmm, what do you say to that??!! That kid is hilarious. He comes up with the most random things at the most random times!! Here are a few pics from our FUN Easter . . .

So I have been meaning to blog about our latest for a while now - so here goes!!

I took Ty and Nash skiing a few weeks ago, it started out a LITTLE slow and I was wondering if ANY of us would survive! Luckily my Dad and Sisters and Brother were all there to help out! They FINALLY caught on and ended up doing GREAT! We really had a fun night!!

Dave and I went on a cruise a couple of weeks ago. It was SOOO nice to get away and hang out with ADULTS for a while!! Although, I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to get myself and Leah back into the REAL WORLD again (she stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for a week and was VERY pampered!!)

Speaking of Leah, she continues to be a little troublemaker - getting into anything and everything she can get her little hands on!! This is her latest art project:

i know, i know…long time no blog. i have no excuse really, well aside from the fact that i have been crazy busy…and sleeping alot more than usual. yes, it is true, we have baby #4 on the way - due July 11th and for some reason I cannot stay up until the wee hours of the morning working on pictures and blogging anymore!! I have so much to share, but quite honestly the thought of blogging takes me to straight to the edge. i try to keep up with it..really i do, but night after night, i myself doing something, anything but blogging..chatting, facebooking, scrapbooking (I realized that my #1 child has 5 scrapbooks and my #3 child is yet to have one, so I have been working like CRAZY to get hers somewhat going!!) so this is what we have been up to the last few weeks, the boys went icefishing with Dave and his dad, Leah had her birthday, LOTS of movie watching, Nash broke his nose by falling off of a stool and having it land on his him, and yes we did have christmas BUT my camera broke the day before so I had to use my point and shoot, which is fine just not really worth sharing! Now I am back to scrapbooking and trying to keep Nash off the injured list!!

Leah is TWO today, but if you ask her she says she is "Two on my birthday and five." If you ask her dad I think he would say she is two and SIXTEEN!! I think he is still trying to figure out the girl thing, and she is ALL girl!! She loves shoes, dresses, babies, lipgloss, getting her hair done and pretty much ANYTHING girly.

Leah is being her GIRLY little self, always changing clothes, playing dress-up and trying on different pairs of shoes. She LOVES to wear boots.

Ty is becoming quite the little reader, he is especially likes to read to his brother and sister, but I think they like it even more!!

Ty had an EXTRA fun Turkey Day this year, not just because he got to hang out with cousins and eat lots of good food, or because he got to go to the Jazz game with his best friend and eat junk food, BUT because it was also his BIRTHDAY!! I know, I know, I sound the same as any other mom when I say that "I cannot believe that he is SEVEN!!" But is is SO true! Time has gone by SO fast! Ty is such a great kid, he is SO sweet to his little sister, he LOVES school, he LOVES to read, he LOVES football (both watching and playing), he LOVES the Utes, he LOVES icecream, and he LOVES Pumpkin Pie. We LOVE you TY!!

Ever since I posted THIS post about Nash I have had lots of questions regarding the actual horse that caused poor Nashy's injuries. Now I know you can't imagine this sweet little horse trampling my little Nash, but it is true . . . this is in fact "Biscuit". Nash is a tough kid and made a speedy recovery, but I don't think he has forgotten - A few days ago he said "I have been bucked off a horse, kicked by a horse (I haven't been able to verify this one yet!!), and trampled by a horse, I sure hope one doesn't BITE me!!" I can't guarantee he won't get bit, you just never know with Nash!

I FINALLY talked Dave into letting me buy THE lens I have been dreaming of for my camera - it came today and I had to take it outside and test it out. Earlier today I found my very first digital camera (It was at the bottom of my closet, I was sure that it got lost in our move back from Florida, I thought it was the moving company, WHOOPS!!) anyways, Ty has been wanting a camera so I charged it up and let him go - he was LOVING it. Meanwhile, Nash decided that his Fisher Price Digital Camera was not REAL enough for him, he claims that Ty's has WAY more buttons than his does!! Can't you just FEEL his pain??!! Poor Nashy. Little Leah was just happy to be outside playing, but maybe NOT so happy to have her picture taken!

Leah is 21months old and is becoming less of a baby everyday. She LOVES everything girly. . . shoes, purses, dresses, babies, and she LOVES to watch Dora the Explorer. I snapped this picture of her on Saturday while taking some pictures of my brother Eric and his cute family (see their pictures here.)

Nash is 4 1/2 years old and has suddenly turned in to our little cowboy. He LOVES to go to his Grandpa Satterthwaite's to ride his new horses- Last month he got bucked off of "Rusty" and last week he got trampled by "Biscuit" (the baby one) - he SURE is tough and has the battle wounds to show it!!

Ty is almost 7 yrs. old and is becoming quite the athlete. He is playing SOCCER and FLAG FOOTBALL right now and says that football is his FAVORITE. He LOVES the UTES and plans on attending EVERY home football game with his dad.

Nash started preschool last week and I am just getting around to posting his pictures. He is LOVING it so far, I have been really worried because when he finished preschool last year he was sure that he would be going to kindergarten this year. He thinks he is just as big as his brother!!

Ty started 1st grade today. He was SOOOO excited!! It is going to be weird not having him around ALL day long! We definitely missed him today, Nash was bored and needed someone to bug so poor Leah got DOUBLE bugged. Where is the all day school for 1 and 4 year olds??

Oh, and I ran a 10K in Salt Lake on Saturday with some of my neigborhood friends. It was my first race so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it was actually a lot of fun!! Thanks for the fun weekend girls!

The Deer Hunt

We headed south for the weekend to join Dave for the opening of the Archery Deer Hunt. After a 3 hour drive to Mayfield, UT (just east of Gunnison - which is just east of Nephi, i think) we headed up the mountain on a dirt road, ONE HOUR later we hit Deer Camp at an elevation of about 11,000 feet!! The kids couldn't get out of the car and get their camoflauge gear on quick enough. They had so much fun playing with their cousins - making huts, shooting BB guns, Fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and chopping down trees with their hunting knives.

My niece Taylor left for Pennsylvania today to become a nanny! I tried to talk her in to staying here and being my nanny but Penn seamed to pay a little more (okay, no pay was involved here, I think it was an easy choice!!) I know she is going to be amazing but we are going to miss her soooooo much. Good luck Tay!!

Last night was the little buckaroo rodeo for South Weber Days. It was SOOO hot, but lots of fun!! Nash did the Chicken Chase and was VERY upset that he didn't catch a chicken. Ty did the Sheep Chase, he caught the sheep and was WAY excited to get $5.00!! Ty also did the Muttin' Bustin', he didn't stay on too long but he did GREAT!

Our friends Brad and Jenny and their kids are in town this week from Florida and we got together with them yesterday at Temple Square in Salt Lake. It was soooooo much fun to see them again!! Our boys have so much fun with each other. I love how they can just pick right up again where they left off last time we saw them! Hopefully we can see you guys again soon!!

Ty just finished up playing Coach Pitch Baseball in a Kaysville League last week and his coach arranged for his team to have batting practice with the Ogden Raptors!! He and Nash both had a great time. I think Ty's favorite part was getting a ball signed by the players (or was it the snowcone??!! You know Ty!!)

We just got home from a GREAT weekend in Bear Lake. The weather was PERFECT!! The kids had tons of fun playing at the beach with their cousins - Leah just wanted to play by herself, she HATES to be bugged by the other kids and just wants to do her own thing! Kendall and Sydney are SO patient with Nash, he LOVES playing with them! They like to play house together and Nash is ALWAYS "the dog"!! He is SUCH a funny kid. Hagen and Ty were attached to each other ALL weekend, as usual. I don't think they could EVER get sick of each other! Hunter was so great to play with them, they think he is the GREATEST thing ever!!

I was lucky enough to go to the Taylor Swift concert with my sisters and three of my nieces on Tuesday night. We had so much fun!! She is an amazingly talented performer and just so cute and sweet. We just got back from a great weekend in Las Vegas with our friends the Castletons. We had a great time watching basketball, shopping and eating out (mostly shopping and eating, Dave and Bryce did most of the basketball watching!) It was beautiful weather and the Utes came away with the championship!!

For some reason our kids love Japanese and Chinese Food, basically anything with chicken, rice and teriyaki sauce. Therefore, they love the rice bowls at Rumbi Island Grill. We were eating dinner there last week and as Ty is gobbling down his food he says "I wonder who owns this place?" (he gets this from his dad, he loves to eat and is always thinking about business.) So then Nash, without even looking up from his rice bowl says "JESUS!!" Kinda like, Duh!! Who else would own it?? That kid is so funny. He comes up with some crazy things. Just this morning he walked into the room, sniffed in the air a few times and said "Hmm, it smells like porcupines in here." What??

I am a little late in posting this, but I think I am pretty much late for anything and everything that I do, so here goes... I had a great birthday on Wednesday!! I went to Rooster's for lunch with my mom and dad and two sisters (thanks for babysitting Aly!) I then got to celebrate with my photography class, where my sweet friend Nicole brought cupcakes. When I got home, my husband and kids surprised me with a gift card to Victoria's Secret to buy this cute coat I have had my eye on!!

I have been trying to talk Dave in to letting me plan a family vacation to Florida this spring but he says it's not quite in the budget, so I thought that maybe Ty & Nash could sway him a little. This was our conversation at dinner:

me: "So where would you guys like to go on a family vacation this year?"

nash: "I know, how 'bout the Dino Park!!??"

ty: "No, not the Dino Park, how about Idaho!!??"

Umm, yeah. I am pretty sure both of these will fit into "the budget." Too bad Dave heard this conversation, I think Florida is definitely out!

I can't believe Ty is 6 already!! His Birthday was last Wednesday and YES I am just barely getting around to posting about it. I have been taking a slight break from blogging. I think Ty had a great day. He had a Star Wars party with his friends in the day and then we continued the party with family at Fat Cat's that night. Ty is growing up so fast, he is such a good kid, he is so helpful with his baby sister, loves to go to football and basketball games with his dad, loves kindergarten and is reading everything in sight. I feel so grateful to be his mom!

I guess that depends on your definition of a successful hunt! We went to Bear Lake over the weekend so Dave and his dad could continue their deer hunt in Idaho. They both ended up getting a deer. The kids were all so excited, I am not sure how excited I am about having it in the freezer! Deer meat anyone??

I had to post this picture of LeeLee, she learned a new sound this week and now she says "oooohhhh" for everything. She is also starting to wave bye-bye. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!!

So Ty & Nash have been tagged. I am supposed to tell 5 things about them that you may not know. So here goes:

1. Ty is such a sweet kid, he LOVES his baby sister and tries so hard to be a good example to his little brother.

2. When asked what his favorite food is Ty will usually say pizza even though he really doesn't like pizza very much, his real favorites are ribs and chicken noodle soup.

3. Ty has 4 tiny birth marks- one on each upper arm and one on each ankle.

4. Dave calls Ty a "little wizard", he is very smart and learns very quickly.

5. Ty is a die-hard UTES fan and will not turn to the "Blue" side for anything (even though many have tried!!)

Nash

1. Nash is fanatical about his clothes. He has to wear a golf shirt and shorts if he is golfing, workin' man shirt, pants, gloves and boots if he is doing any type of work, and so on. He HAS to dress to whatever he is doing.

2. Nash loves shrimp, crab, fish, red peppers, edamame, and any type of Japanese food.

3. Nash is definitely going to be a class clown. He loves to be goofy and loves the attention he gets for it even more.

4. While driving to North Ogden last week Nash claims to have seen a Kangaroo out his car window, he said it was just standing in the field looking at him. He is quite the story-teller and has a story for everything.

5. Nash is also a die-hard UTES fan but could probably be talked into cheering for "The Bee-I-Oooh" (as he calls it) for a mere bag of cotton candy.

Two Week Update

We have been crazy-busy the last couple of weeks. Ty started playing soccer on Saturdays and flag football on Mondays & Wednesdays . . .

Nash started playing soccer on Tuesdays & Thursdays . . .

Leah is nine months old today . . .

Here are her stats:

Length: 27 1/8 inches (45%)

Weight: 15 lbs 12 1/2 oz. (7%)

So yes it has begun, the days of running kids to and from school, games & practices, and I don't think it will be ending anytime soon. Dave has also been playing flag football, so we now have games on Mondays, two on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Luckily it has been beautiful weather so we have loved being outside watching all of the games.

Leah finally got another new tooth yesterday. I swear she has been teething since she got her first two teeth three months ago!! She is 8 & 1/2 months old now and is crawling everywhere and keeping us very busy!

First Day of School!!

Ty started Kindergarten today and we both made it through the first day without any tears!! (Nash was not so lucky, he had a little breakdown when Ty got to get on the school bus and he didn't.) Ty was so excited to ride the bus. He is getting so big!! He loved school and can't wait to go back tomorrow.

Nash had his first day of pre-school today. He did great. He was so excited to wear his "batman" backpack and to show his teacher his "homework". If only he could ride the bus to pre-school, he would be in heaven!!

I am not sure what my problem is but I cannot seem to get a picture with all three of my kids in it at the same time. They were all in the bathtub together last night and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity, but I couldn't get them all looking and not splashing without showing body parts that wouldn't be appropriate for our family friendly blog, so here are some cute pictures of each of them alone. I will keep trying, sooner or later I am bound to get at least one good picture of them together!!

Our backyard has been quite the construction zone this summer but I am relieved to say that our Sports Court is finally complete. The boys are loving it and Dave is loving having a lot less lawn to mow!!

I am a little late in posting this, but I thought I would put it on anyway. We went to Barker's Trout Farm on the 24th of July. The kids had so much fun catching fish and playing with their cousins. I forgot my camera, but luckily McKell was able to catch all the action with hers. We had a "fish fry" at Grandma & Grandpa Satterthwaite's on Saturday. Nash loved eating the "brooky" he caught. I think he ate one whole fish all by himself!!

Bear Lake - OUCH!!

"Don't run with that stick, you could fall and poke your eye out!!" I am pretty sure this is what Nash heard from at least three different people just moments before tripping on the cement and coming way too close to literally "poking" his eye out. It makes me sick to think what could have happened!! It happened on Friday night, we had just arrived at our house in Bear Lake and were out on the front porch watching the kids play. I thought he would need stitches for sure, but the bleeding actually stopped pretty quickly after putting pressure on it. We are so lucky!! Other than that we had a pretty fun weekend in Bear Lake. It was a quick trip, we arrived Friday night and spent Saturday at the beach boating and soaking up the sun, and then headed back home that night. It was great to be able to spend time with my family. Thanks for the fun weekend everyone!!

Satterthwaite Family Reunion

We had our Satterthwaite reunion at Bear Lake this last weekend. We had so much fun!! We got to see lots of cousins and aunts & uncles that we don't get to see too often. It was great to be able to catch up with all of them and get to know their kids better. We had 28 kids staying in the house! It was kinda crazy, but we loved it. I hope we can have that great of a turn-out again next year. We are looking forward to it already!!

Cowboy Nash

Nash was given a cowboy hat by one of his friends this week and he hasn't taken it off much since. He even had to sleep by him the first night. Thursday he had to have on a whole "cowboy outfit." The shirt had a graphic on the front so we had to turn it inside out for it to be a "cowboy" shirt. He is so funny about what he wears. I never thought a boy would change outfits as often as Nash does. His outfit has to match exactly to what he is doing. Yesterday he had to wear a full soccer outfit to his cousin's soccer game (socks, cleats and all.) He will not wear a sports shirt if he is going to help dave work in the yard, it has to be a "workin' guy" shirt, and so on... you get the point. Yes, we have our hands full with this one, he has a mind of his own and there is no way of changing it. Good thing he is so cute!!

I can't believe Leah is 6 months old already!! Time is going by so fast. She is such a fun baby. She is so calm and patient with her brothers, she just loves them! She is starting to reach for things and puts EVERYTHING straight to her mouth. She loves to jabber and is apparently starting to sit up on her own (which I didn't know until I took her outside yesterday to take her pictures!) We love you Leah!!

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake last weekend, it was so much fun!! The weather was perfect. My sister Mckell and my brother Eric were both there with their families. The kids had a blast playing at the beach with their cousins. Dave and Kacey were able to squeeze in 18 holes of golf and we got to visit "The Shake Shop" (as Ty calls it) for some icecream after dinner on Saturday.

Leah's First Tooth

I should have seen it coming, Leah has been chewing on everything in sight for the last few weeks. Today we were at the North Ogden Pool and she was chewing on my finger. I could feel something sharp and sure enough one of her bottom teeth had broken through and the other is not far behind. She is growing up so fast! She will be six months old next week. I tried to take a picture of her tooth but it is kind of hard to see, it is her lower right tooth.

I knew the warm weather wouldn't last too long. Dave had a softball game last night and it was 56 degrees and windy!! I can't believe it is June! I am so ready for some nice 90 degree weather.

Well the temperature finally made it out of the 50's, so we decided we better go to the pool before it goes back down again. We met my sister McKell and her two kids and my sister-in-law Marci and her two kids there. The kids had a blast, even though it was a little on the cold side.

Ty finished up a successful season of T-ball last night. He did such a great job. I think it is his favorite sport so far.

Child Abuse

After much contemplation, I finally made the decision to get Leah's ears pierced. I took her on Friday and it was so sad!! Luckily I had my sister Julie and my niece Taylor there for support. Leah did really great, she didn't cry much at all.

Ty

Ty finished up his Soccer Season last week. He had a lot of fun playing and has improved a lot since last year, although his favorite part is still the snack at the end of each game and the trophy at the end of the season!! Now on to T-Ball.

busy, busy, busy

I have been meaning to make a post all week, but I have been spending every spare minute (not that I have too many) trying to finish up our family scrapbook for 2007. I made it a goal to have it done by Monday and after many late nights I finally sent it in to Shutterfly yesterday, only missing my goal by two days! I am so glad it is finished. Now onto 2008!! I love to scrapbook, especially pictures of my kids. I find myself planning the pictures I take around the pages I want to make, instead of the other way around. It is a fun hobby and I am learning a ton since I made the switch to digital. My next goal is to learn Adobe Photoshop. Who created that program?? It will definitely take some time, but I think I am up to the task!
